Meat: Not as Cruel as You Think

| | Comments (1)
I kinda-sorta get the vegetarian argument. Not so much that I'm going to, you know, give up meat or anything. But I see where they're coming from.

I just heard today something that makes me feel quite a bit better about it. Did you know:

According to FDA regulations, the animals we eat are actually given the choice of how they want to die?

And that the majority choose autoerotic asphyxiation?

When you think about it, that's not that bad a way to go. I can think of way worse ways, in fact.

So, as you dive into your double-cheeseburger, do so with an easy conscience. Since the fellow probably died doing something he/she loved.

I didn't understand the vegetarian argument until I saw this 1946 promotional ad from the American Meat Institute today.

Talk about advertising having the reverse effect.
